About Me
Played Quake 3 for way too many years and was scared of UT2003 at first, with the introduction programming through computational chemistry decided I would like to mod, tried Quake3 but tbh its dated now, UT2003/4 however is quite accessible and would suit my modding requirements. New to Programming (Mostly Procedural using Fortran) and becoming aquainted to C++ and OOP, hence my presence here. For anyone who really cares Im currently researching (nano-alloys, metal clusters) searching the hyperspace using evolutionary computing (GA's) also dabbled in protein folding (2D lattice) using simple ACO algorithm.
Work In Progress
I hope to contribute by doing some tutorials as and when I acheive something. Hopefully I can give the point of a noobie and hopefully as a result my tutorials will be more accessable(spelling?).I want to make it here then when its done have it moved to a more appropriate place if thats ok?
Tutorial one:Turning the AssaultRifle into an Uzi Assault2Uzi

Tarquin: Hi, welcome to the wiki! Your postgrad subject sounds cool
Rhodan: Thanks very much.
MythOpus: They do sound pretty cool. Quick question, what would be the advantage of having nano alloys?
Rhodan: Hehe no such thing as a quick Answer. But Nano alloys have different properties to bulk alloys. Due to factors like the surface area (ratio) of nano particle is greater than that of the bulk so, some metals (those with a lower surface energy) prefer to be located on the surface. This can have optical effect which are different from those observed of the bulk. Other electronically related properties differ such as catalysis etc....
Tarquin: Hmmm... do you know about Wikipedia? BTW, no need for line breaks: text wraps here.
Rhodan: Yes I have visted it I may contribute at sometime, also thanks for the tip
